Working At 911 Garage Door Repair

The Kind Of Technician We Hire

911 Garage Door Repair & Service of Collins Miami has been repairing, installing and maintaining garage doors along the Collins Avenue corridor since 2014. We started with a single van serving Miami Beach and grew into a team covering the barrier islands and greater Miami, and we have never subcontracted our work. Every job is carried out by our own technicians, in our own vehicles, under our own name, which is why the person who answers the phone is also accountable for how the door works when we leave.

The technicians who thrive here are the ones who diagnose before they sell. That means testing a door's balance with it disconnected from the opener rather than guessing at the spring, measuring cable tension instead of replacing parts until something works, and telling a homeowner plainly when a repair is not worth doing. Our customers are often standing in the garage with us, so we explain what failed, what we adjusted and what to watch for, in language that does not need a manual.

In return you get paid training from your first day, a stocked service vehicle and the tools to do the job properly, the safety equipment that torsion spring work demands, and support from an experienced technician on the other end of the phone. Residential, commercial and 24/7 emergency work runs all year in Miami Beach, so the hours are steady and the variety is real: springs and cables one morning, a high-cycle loading dock operator the next.

Open Positions

We are hiring across the service and dispatch teams. Every role below is full-time and based out of our Miami Beach operation, covering the Collins Avenue corridor, the barrier islands and greater Miami.

  • Garage Door Service Technician

    Full-timeMiami Beach, FL

Run your own service calls across Miami Beach and the barrier islands: broken springs, snapped cables, off-track doors, opener faults, tune-ups and new door installation. You diagnose the fault, agree the price with the customer before any work starts, complete the repair from a stocked van and test the door before you leave.

    What We Ask For

    • Two or more years of residential or commercial garage door service experience
    • Able to balance, adjust and safety-test torsion and extension spring systems unaided
    • Valid driver's licence, a clean driving record and a passable background check
  • Apprentice Technician

    Full-timeMiami Beach, FL

Learn the trade alongside a senior technician rather than watching from the driveway. You will handle lubrication, roller and hinge replacement, track alignment, weather seal work and job-site preparation while you build up to spring, cable and opener work under supervision, with training on the safety procedures that come first in this industry.

    What We Ask For

    • Willingness to learn spring, cable, track and opener work from a senior technician
    • Comfortable lifting door panels, working at height and following strict safety procedures
    • Valid driver's licence, a clean driving record and a passable background check
  • Dispatch & Customer Service Coordinator

    Full-timeMiami Beach, FL

You are the first voice a customer hears, often with a car trapped inside a garage. You triage the fault, quote standard work, book the right technician with the right parts, keep the schedule honest when a job runs long, and follow up after each visit so the written summary reaches the customer the same day.

    What We Ask For

    • Confident on the phone with homeowners, property managers and commercial clients
    • Able to schedule jobs, quote standard work and keep technicians updated through the day
    • Comfortable with booking software, email and a busy multi-line phone

How To Apply

Call (786) 709-9487 and tell us which role you are interested in, or send your details through our contact form with a short note about your experience and the type of door work you have handled. There is no separate application portal and no account to create. If your background fits, we will arrange a conversation, usually followed by a paid ride-along day so that you can see the work and we can see how you approach a door.

Every applicant must be able to pass a background check and hold a valid driver's licence, because technicians drive a company vehicle between jobs with parts and tools on board and carry keys, gate codes and alarm details for customers' properties. A clean driving record matters for the same reason. Bring your licence to the interview and tell us about any endorsements or restrictions in advance so nothing delays a start date.

Tell us what you are good at. Experience with sectional and roll-up doors, high-cycle commercial operators, welding, electrical fault-finding or simply an excellent phone manner all help us place you in the right role, and we would rather hear about it from you than guess from a list of previous employers.

  • Able to pass a background check
  • Valid driver's licence and a clean driving record
  • Available for a rota of emergency call-outs, including some weekends
  • Happy to work outdoors in Miami heat, humidity and salt air
